I am a Civil Engineer with a Ms in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. I’ve years of experience working in the Peer-Led Team program for my university. My expertise in math spans all preliminary, secondary, O/A, undergraduate, and post-graduate levels. My past experience has helped me excel as an online tutor, as I’ve learned numerous pedagogical and student management techniques in the past 7 years.  I’ve received numerous awards during my teaching career, i.e., the award of the excellent pedagogical designer of the year 2022, the best tutor award of the month, and many more. 

Tutoring Approach

I like to explain the concepts on my own without bombarding the students with overwhelming home tasks and course content. I focus more on building the students’ concepts and logical thinking skills. And, for that purpose, I use numerous task-based approaches. Using activities for helping the student learn the concepts allows me to engage them throughout the sessions. Students are also provided past papers that further provide them with an idea of the future SAT math pattern. Quizzes and tests are designed while keeping the past paper’s pattern in mind.

I’ve been dealing with Urdu for 7 years. Urdu, for me, is a very intriguing subject, and having been taught this subject to several students in one-on-one sessions offered me the opportunity to learn different techniques for handling the student's problems in one-on-one sessions. I can tutor Urdu to both native and non-native Urdu speakers.

Tutoring Approach

Urdu in my sessions is taught by interactive methods. I teach the grammar deductive or inductive methods, depending on the needs/requirements of the students. Further, for tutoring other elements of the Urdu language, i.e., vocabulary, I encourage my students to do a morphological or lexical analysis of the words (depending on the level of the student). More strategies are used for tutoring other aspects of the Urdu language.
