I have been teaching history for 7 years, but I have always been interested in ancient civilizations since I was in school. I started teaching in Liverpool, and then I moved to an international school in London. Over time, I have written about various subjects such as the ancient Egyptian rulers, Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley civilization, and the ancient Greek and Roman societies. I studied at Cambridge University and learned how to analyse and explore the ancient world. I'm excited to share this knowledge with my students.
I love ancient history because it has so many interesting stories. Instead of only using textbooks, I often use visual aids like slides of archaeological digs or snippets from historical documentaries. I try to make each lesson flexible and cater to the interests and learning styles of each student because I know that every student is different.Getting students ready for IB is not just about teaching them information, it's about teaching them how to think critically and make connections. We review old test papers, talk about possible questions, and work on creating short but powerful answers.
Mia is a good teacher who listens to you carefully, comprehends what you are saying, and explains everything in terms you can understand. She is a fantastic tutor and is highly recommended.
It's clear that she knows a lot, but I think we went over some things too quickly at times. Still, it was a good way to learn.
