My tutoring approaches are designed with close attention to each student’s needs. I don’t believe in using traditional teaching methods in virtual classes. Considering the fact that students of this age are more prone to technology-induced learning, I use PowerPoints, online quiz platforms, learning websites, and YouTube lecture videos during one-on-one sessions.

Hi everyone! My name is Hien and I’m an experienced and professional Chinese English translator and Interpreter currently working at a renowned publication firm. I’m also working as a part-time tutor, helping numerous students around the globe become better Chinese speakers. I’ve worked with political figures as their personal translator and also at a pedagogical bureau for developing personalized lesson plans for national and international students. I have a network of around 500 students. My previous students have shown excellent results in their desired exams and some of them are enjoying a lucrative careers in China. Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approaches vary according to the level of the tutee. For instance, for the beginner-level students, I usually use the audio-lingual method. In the preliminary stages, students don’t have any ideas about its phonemes, morphemes, etc. Hence, I emphasize drilling and repetition of Chinese utterances in order to reinforce the language patterns and structures in the student’s minds. I provide model vocabulary words and sentences to the students which they’ve to repeat, which gradually allows them to master the Chinese language skills. My tutoring approaches shift to more student-centred approaches for mid-level or advanced-level students.
