I began my career in Italy, where I focused on studying the connections between Italian and English literature and how they influence each other. I started teaching at local colleges and then expanded to teaching internationally because of this research journey. I have organized workshops all around the world, focusing on how literary themes are common to everyone. I am skilled at combining Eastern and Western literature to create a diverse understanding of different literary styles.
I want to help you understand the different parts of a piece of literature by breaking them down one at a time. Instead of just reading, we will examine the text by asking questions and looking for answers. We will look at the social and political context, the author's life, the cultural details, and much more. This approach helps students both enjoy the literature and fully understand the story's complexity.
I'm glad I know him. He is a teacher, but he is also a friend and someone I can talk to about anything. I have been teaching for 12 years, mainly focusing on the IB curriculum. I started studying at a well-known international school in Birmingham. I developed a way of learning that combines different subjects to understand the complexities of the World War era. I have also organised many workshops to help IB students with their Internal Assessments, Extended Essays, and Paper 3. These workshops make sure that students are prepared and feel confident.
The IB History course, especially when studying World War era, asks students to carefully examine events with a focus on how they are connected globally. In my classes, we focus on both the major events and the human stories and emotions connected to these events. We examine primary and secondary sources. We look at bias, context, and draw conclusions based on what we learn.Working together is encouraged. Students often work together in groups to have discussions, give presentations, and complete projects. They do this to learn about different viewpoints on historical events. For those getting ready for IB assessments, we practise answering questions in a structured way. We focus on evaluating sources and creating arguments that consider both sides.
She was able to make the time period of the World War quite interesting. However, I was hoping for a greater emphasis on the post-war restructuring of geopolitical power.
In my instance, it was IB History, and Ava is really friendly and tries her best to help you in every way she can. She offers several top-notch sources for research and has a wealth of historical knowledge. Her courses are not only incredibly interesting and enjoyable, but also very beneficial. Ava is a great teacher, and her engaging attitude keeps you focused and attention during the entire course.
I felt like we sometimes strayed from the IB syllabus requirements, despite the fact that the instructor had a great deal of knowledge and an engaging teaching approach.
